Italy Says Yes to Legal Same Sex Unions

Italian government finally approved a bill to allow gay civil unions, after a long debate.

The bill extends many – but not all… yet! – of the rights enjoyed by heterosexual couples to same sex couples.
Italy is the last major western European country to recognize civil unions for same sex couples.

It is a good news, the law is not completed yet, there are many other steps to take to get complete equality for all couples but this is a first one in a country as Italy could be.
