What a cute and original idea! We are talking about this telling you Alessia and Gianluca wedding story. They got married on Lake Orta with a romantic civil ceremony at Villa Bossi and a wonderful wedding reception in the beating heart of the ancient village of Orta inside lovely Palazzo Penotti Ubertini.
Paolo Bernardotti was the official photographer of the day and most of the photos you can see comes from bride and groom’s selection. Images with logo @lapiccolaselva have been taken by La Piccola Selva floral designer who designed the floral arrangements for Villa Bossi and Palazzo Penotti Ubertini.
Ceremony by the shores at Villa Bossi
A wonderful sunny day was the perfect frame for Alessia and Gianluca’s wedding on Lake Orta.
As tradition wants bride reached Villa Bossi by boat where groom was waiting for her. Ceremony was joyful and intimate. At the end of it guests tossed bride and groom with hundreds soap bubbles. They walked back to the lake shore to take some great photos.
Villa Bossi and Palazzo Penotti Ubertini are just three minutes walk. A lovely walk in ancient village of Orta. A perfect path to take amazing photos with the backdrop of a medieval village.
Reception at Palazzo Penotti Ubertini
During the wedding planning one of the most difficult choice is the wedding reception venue.
But for Alessia and Gianluca it was easy. They fell in love at first sight with Palazzo Penotti Ubertini.
Some moths before the event Alessia and Gianluca visited Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta looking for the right venue for their wedding reception.
During their visit Palazzo Ubertini was hosting Elio Barabino’s exhibition. He is a painter from Genova. His paintings are real color explosions reminding Van Gogh and Gaugin styles. Alessia and Gianluca are fond of Genovese painter and in that occasion they asked to Palazzo owner to keep the paintings on for their reception at Palazzo Penotti Ubertini. They were happy to know that the owners said yes!
An original wedding reception on Lake Orta
Alessia and Gianluca love art and painting and to add something more to Barabino works on the walls they decided to name each table of the reception after famous painters. Monet, Segantini, Van Ghog. Friedrich, Hoper and many others.
For La Piccola Selva floral designer was beautiful seeing their creations side of many important masterpieces!
Late evening the party ended with the cutting of the cake and a lovely photo with the owner of the Palazzo: Stefano Ubertini. He is the owner of this amazing building established back in 1700. He is really happy to keep it alive.
Alessia and Gianluca was surely a very original wedding reception on Lake Orta!
