Getting ready at Villa Rusconi Clerici
Villa Rusconi Clerici is one of the top wedding venues on Lake Maggiore. This venue is the only villa that lays on the shores on Piemonte side of the Lake. It has a wonderful garden, incredible view and amazing spaces for a great wedding party.
Villa Rusconi Clerici also has a very special room that can be used by the bride to get ready. It is located on the first floor of the villa. It has ancient furniture and a very special allure. Not to forget the view over the lake that the bride can enjoy from the little balcony.
Samantha got ready here and David Bastianoni, the official photographer of the day, took amazing photos of these moments.
The bride was incredibly elegant in her romantic wedding dress with veil holding her simple but very chic all-hydrangeas bridal bouquet.
Once she was ready she stepped down the elegant staircase of Villa Rusconi Clerici and reached the garden to walk towards the wedding ceremony spot.
A romantic wedding ceremony by the shores on Lake Maggiore
Samantha reached Mitch and her guests who were waiting for her at the side garden of the villa just by the shores. She walked down the aisle on the sound of a romantic music.
Wedding ceremony was moving and fun at the same time and it was framed by the great view over Lake Maggiore and Borromean Islands as backdrop.
A real elegant wedding on Lake Maggiore shores for a great couple!
A wonderful wedding photo session at Villa Taranto
Right after the ceremony bride and groom and the bridal party all moved to a special venue for the wedding photos while guests started to enjoy their aperitif with drinks and canapes. Mitch
and Sam had some great photos at Villa Taranto!
Botanical gardens of Villa Taranto are located a couple of minutes walk from Villa Rusconi Clerici and it could be a fantastic idea for romantic wedding shots.
Let me tell you something about this romantic venue.
Villa Taranto is a botanic garden and it is one of the most beautiful and most known around the world.
The Villa itself dates back to 1870 but it is thanks to a rich Scottish Captain that we can appreciate it as it is now.
The story says that while travelling on Orient Express Captain Neil Mc Eacharn read on Times that the villa was on sale. He in a spour of the moment thing he decided to reach Pallanza, he fell in love with the location and the view and bought it.
“A beautiful garden does not need to be big, but it should be the realization of one’s dream, even though it is only a couple of square metres large and it is situated on a balcony”.
This is what Captain Nei Mc Eacharn, said.
The gardens have thousands of rare plants and flowers. They were created between 1931 and 1940 and then donated to Italian state in 1962.
Sam and Mitch loved this venue too and they decided to get their great wedding photos at Villa Taranto.
Have a look to the amazing shots by David Bastianoni!
A fun wedding reception and party at Villa Rusconi Clerici
Once back to the villa Sam and Mitch and their bridal party reunited to the guests to celebrate a wonderful day by the shores of Lake Maggiore.
As tradition wants the wedding reception meal was served under the beautiful marquee of the villa overlooking the lake, Borromeo Islands and Alps.
Simple but very chic centerpieces made up of blue, pink and purple hydrangeas embellished the reception tables and tailor made wedding stationary and favors added an extra special touch to the wedding decor.
After the fun speeches, a gourmand Italian traditional meal and the cutting of the wedding cake framed by the Lake view at night the party could begin.
A fun dj set let everybody dance up to late at night. Sam and Mitch were super happy and this is the best reward for us.
A huge thanks to all who made it great and to David Bastianoni for his great wedding photo session at Villa Taranto.
