But finally I have the honour to post here Polina and Simon’s wedding in Stresa. I’m so happy about this and I hope Polina and Simon will be as I am.
I virtually met Polina and Simon via email and we started to plan their wedding together very soon.
Polina had in mind a very clear idea of how she wanted her elegant wedding on Lake Maggiore and I was happy to help her to put everything together as per your wishes and dreams.

Getting ready at Villa Muggia overlooking Lake Maggiore
Polina and her girls got ready in the villa couple chose for their wedding reception in one of the elegant rooms on the first floor of Villa Muggia overlooking fantastic Lake Maggiore.
Villa Muggia is a wonderful 1700 villa located inside Stresa – the so called pearl of Lake Maggiore for its elegance and beauty.
Wedding in Stresa: an outdoor wedding ceremony by the shores of Lake Maggiore
But for their wedding ceremony Polina and Simon chose something different!
They wanted to tie the knot on the shores with Polina arriving with her bridesmaids and handsome father by boat.
And so they opted for the gardens of a famous hotel in Stresa that was wonderfully arranged with white chairs, white carpet and amazing wedding flowers in the shades of white, ivory and pink just as Polina wanted.
For her wedding in Stresa Polina arrived by boat as planned and more than handsome Simon was waiting for her to walk down the aisle. She was incredibly beautiful in her Vera Wang dress with long veil, pink English roses bridal bouquet and most of all a joyful smile on her face.
Russian traditions for a romantic ceremony by the shores of Lake Maggiore
Ceremony was conducted both in English and Russian by a lovely English-Russian celebrant.
Polina and her family is Russian and so she wanted to incorporate in the ceremony some of her Russian traditions such as the traditional bread with salt that bride and groom needs to share at the end of the ceremony. It was carried by Polina’s wonderful mother to the alter at the right moment.
When the ceremony was over a fun music accompaigned Simon and Polina for their recessional while all guest were tossing them with confetti and rice.
Wedding in Stresa: boat tour on Lake Maggiore and Borromeo Island for great wedding photos
All the guests were happily transferred to Villa Muggia to start a rich aperitif in the wide garden of the villa. In the meanwhile full bridal party took a boat tour to reach Borromeo Islands.
David Bastianoni and his team where with them and took the chance to take wonderful shots of Polina and Simon’s wedding in Stresa.
Elegant reception at Villa Muggia on Lake Maggiore
Once back on main land in Stresa Polina and Simon and their bridal party got on board of a happy train available in Stresa and reached their guests at Villa Muggia.
A special entrance for the whole bridal party arriving from the top of the terrace of the villa and getting down to the gardens from the stone steps of the big fountain in the park.
This is arriving with style Polina!
Dinner to follow was served under the pretty pavilion of Villa Muggia overlooking Lake Maggiore and white park of the villa itself.
Dinner was absolutely Italian style accompanied with best wines and with great music played by an Italian trio who Polina’s father hired during his vacation in Italy.
The pavilion was decorated with wonderful candelabra centrepieces enriched with greenery, white and light pink flowers just as Polina wanted.
Party time at Villa Muggia
After the meal a huge Italian style wedding cake made with cream and fresh fruits was served under the pavilion and then the disco party could start!
A great party with dances and bar up to late at night inside the wide rooms of the villa.
Polina and their friends had a great fun and so we did.
