Jen and Joe dreamed about getting married overlooking Lake Maggiore, waiting a lot to make their dream come true. The pandemic stopped their plans for a while, but as soon as we resumed them, we were able to create magic together!
Our bride and groom chose a fantastic villa overlooking Lake Maggiore to tie the knot in Italy.
Getting Ready in Stresa
Getting married overlooking Lake Maggiore means finding suitable venues for what you envision. Hence, one of the first things bride and groom think about is where they are getting ready with their bridesmaids.
Jennifer chose an excellent hotel in Stresa with a fabulous view over the Lake and Borromeo Islands. It was the perfect backdrop for getting-ready photos.
Joe, his groomsmen, and other guests choose Stresa to get ready.
Once ready, the groom and guests took the boats to the villa. Both ceremony and reception were about to happen there. In her turn, our bride reached the villa in a private limousine car.
A Ceremony in a Villa Garden overlooking the Lake
Jennifer and Joe chose to plan both their wedding ceremony and reception to follow in the same venue. We are talking about the fantastic Villa Claudia dal Pozzo (aka Villa Claudia).
Villa Claudia is an attractive option if your dream is getting married overlooking Lake Maggiore. It is located not far from Stresa village, one of the only villas in the area that overlooks a great 180 degrees view over Lake Maggiore. The terrace can host both ceremony and reception for medium small groups. The atmosphere of the villa creates a very private and cozy mood that is typical of Lake Maggiore shores.
Jennifer and Joe tied the knot on the terrace overlooking the Lake. They exchanged their vows under a mild summer sun, with a little breeze and striking colors of nature.
The sweet sound of a harp accompanied the ceremony, which was incredibly moving.
Wedding photos in the Park of Villa Claudia
After the wedding ceremony, a skilled caterer started the service straightaway, serving lovely finger food, Italian prosecco, local cheeses, and cold cuts.
All guests were enchanted by the view over the Lake and delighted by the food and wines served. A saxophonist was playing some lounge music, too, so the atmosphere was complete.
Jen and Joe sneaked away for a while to have some great wedding photos in the villa’s park. Scents of plants, flowers, and beautiful nature were the perfect backdrops for Jennifer and Joe’s wedding photos. This is the real essence of getting married overlooking Lake Maggiore!
Matt Trott Photography and his team were the event’s official photographers, and their shots are super!
Imperial Table for a reception overlooking Lake Maggiore
As Jennifer and Joe’s group of guests was not huge, we could create a lovely royal table for them. White flowers, loose greenery, and many candles made a fantastic runner in the middle of the Table. Refined name cards and wedding favors made of little bottles of Limoncello added a touch of charm. The cherry on the cake was the fairy lights hung over the tables, creating a very Italian-style dinner setting.
Once the dinner was over, we decided to plan the cutting of the wedding cake by the balcony villa to frame the bride and groom in a perfect picture!
The toast? Of course, made of Italian Spumante in a tower of glasses! We loved it!
After a slight change of style for our bride, the dances could start with a second look made of a dress with a big bow. Jen and Joe opened them with their first dance, and they all partied up late at night inside the villa rooms. What a day!
Getting married overlooking Lake Maggiore at Villa Claudia is a dream that comes true: the view, the food, the nature, the Italian style. Jen and Joe were literally blown away!
One of the first weddings of our season bank in June… what a great way to start it, no?
