Just like Sara and Justin did, a delightful American couple landed on the shores of the lake to celebrate the wedding of their dreams, surrounded by friends and relatives. Marco Bernardi’s story in pictures clearly shows how theirs was a decidedly spot-on choice.
A traditional Italian villa for your wedding
The villa they chose strikes anyone who looks at it from the street. It was built in the early twentieth century following Art Nouveau (Liberty style in Italy) precepts and architecture.
It stands imposingly on the edge of Lake Iseo with its stone facade, bas-reliefs, and the large park surrounding it. Slender and elegant, it offers a perfect solution as a unique venue to celebrate an Italian-style wedding on Lake Iseo. It offers several areas for ceremonies and reception areas thanks to its perfectly preserved antique interiors. Sara and Justin got married just here, and they celebrated with about 60 friends and relatives, dancing until late at night.
The first to arrive, in the late morning, were the bride and her bridesmaids, transported by boat from Sulzano, a tiny village where they spent the night before the wedding. They found a perfect refuge at the villa for their preparations, accompanied by a light lunch and many chats. While they were getting ready inside the mansion, the activity of the managers of the structure, the catering operators, and the wedding planners was buzzing so that everything was perfect for Sara and Justin’s dream wedding.
Rain on your wedding day is good luck (as an Italian proverb says)
The threats of rain, which then materialized with a storm that wet the wedding afternoon, prompted the abandonment of the initial project of the ceremony by the splendid dock owned by the villa. But the solution met the couple’s expectations. They got married in the most charming room of the estate. It overlooks a terrace in front of the garden with the scent of the rain that fell just before. Under a semi-arch of flowers, after entering on the notes of their favorite song, Sara and Justin said “I do“, sealing their Italian wedding with a kiss, while all around exploded the party of those who followed them from the United States.
It was the real essence of an Italian-style wedding on Lake Iseo.
Love and Italian traditions for our American couple
The rain stopped, and the group could move to a terrace with a fantastic view of Lake Iseo. They found a buffet full of delicious Italian food and the famous sparkling wine from Franciacorta!
In the meantime, the newlyweds had a romantic (and very Italian style) getaway aboard a Riva, a luxurious Italian motorboat that took them for a ride on the lake at sunset, an ideal situation for unforgettable photos.
Upon their return, they found the long table that hosted all the guests under the porch at the villa’s entrance, with a romantic view of Lake Iseo, ready to welcome them.
The soft sunset light, with the arches and flowers, framed the dinner perfectly for an Italian-style wedding on Lake Iseo.
The ideal place for those dreaming of an Italian-style wedding on Lake Iseo
Party ended inside the villa, where the deejay gave life to a long night of dances. Guests found other typical Italian items: a corner with a Vespa where to take funny photos and a table with confetti. These sugared almonds symbolize a wish of good luck to the couple.
Not only Sara and Justin were the protagonists. But also their families and friends, who gave their energies to the fullest, going wild in dances and having fun until late at night in the ancient rooms of the villa, which confirms itself as an ideal place for those dreaming of an Italian-style wedding on Lake Iseo!
