Lake Bracciano is a large fresh water lake located North of Rome in Lazio region.
The main town is Bracciano with its historical Odescalchi Castle, one of the most wanted and luxury wedding venues in the area.
Despite its proximity to Rome, mass tourism has yet to discover Lake Bracciano. The unspoiled countryside around the lake is protected by a wide natural park which includes the smaller Lake Martignano (Lago di Martignano). The crystal-clear waters of Lake Bracciano are the delight of sailors (small boats only, up to four people), wind surfers, canoeists, pedalò, anglers or those wanting to swim and sunbathe with no noisy motorboats. Motors can only be used by the fishermen who supply the restaurants with pike, whitefish, eel, whitebait and other freshwater specialties.
Let’s get back to the beautiful wedding of Chiara and Massimo that chose for their catholic wedding a beautiful church on the top of Trevignano village, the church of Santa Maria dell’Assunta.
The church is located at the top of the old village and it is reachable walking along the narrow streets of the village.
Church of Assunta or Church of the Assumption, is a 16th century structure. It was built on the ruins of an earlier Gothic building. It contains a splendid frescoes inside.
Chiara and Massimo chose a simple but elegant decoration in white, cream and soft pink which matched the style of the church which is all white with only the altar area decorated with paintings and frescoes.
Chiara arrived at the church in her stunning white wedding dress with the skirt made of soft tulle and the wait with glittering pearls, a very chic combination.
Her bouquet was a small informal one in the colours of cream and pink that perfectly matched the romantic bridal dress.
Once entered, the music of an harp together with the magic voice of a soprano, gave the wedding ceremony a magical and solemn atmosphere.
Odescalchi Stables for a chic reception on Lake Bracciano
Once the wedding was ended, all guests moved to the wedding reception venue, while the couple went for some pictures by the lake, and in Bracciano, under the gorgeous Odescalchi Castle.
Wedding reception took place at Odescalchi horse stable, a beautiful venue located by the lake from which you may admire stunning nature and Bracciano village with huge Odescalchi Castle.
The venue is inserted in a lush garden that can be reached walking on a small wood bridge over the creek. The garden, that the princess Odescalchi cures in person with stone basins with red fishes and carps which really give a relaxing feel.
The horse stable is composed of two large areas, one of them can be used for appetisers and after dinner moments and the second one for the wedding dinner placé.
As seating chart they decided for old vintage cases with small names of tables and guests attached to rustic wires.
As centrepieces they chose silver candelabras surrounded by small glass vases and bottles with candles, always in the soft colours of cream, white and pink.
After the meal sweets buffet and the after party was set in the second hall which was decorated with pretty fairy lights that created a soft and warm setting.
The peek moment of the wedding was the cut of the cake outside in the garden followed but the launch of led balloons that illuminated the sky, then party could begin to dance the night away!
