Autumn weddings
We are also working already for next season that we hope could be as beautiful as 2012 one… if not better!
The season was long, we took a little break to be back on the track and to get all photos ready for you!
But we could not close such a wonderful season without a post telling you about our wonderful couples!
So are you ready for a wonderful closing of summer season 2012?
We start from the very beginning!
1st of September was Katie and Torin’s date!
Valentina followed this lovely couple for their wonderful day in Orta. Blond and beautiful Katie choose a romantic dress for her yellow themed wedding. She got ready in one of the lovely traditional hotels in Orta village and reached the town hall with a motorboat for a romantic ceremony under a warm sun. After the ceremony a short trip to the Island for the couple and a boat trip for the guests… then a fun reception at Ustaria Ca dal Rat.
Eliana chose pastel pink and ivory for her bouquet, church and reception decorations. Reception was held in a villa in Miasino.
Have a look to pretty heart-shaped ring cushion created by Monika from La Piccola Selva. It was made with little roses and baby’s breath. So cute!
Valentina was back again on Lake Orta to coordinate Rachel and Guy’s wedding on September 3rd.
Unfortunately the weather was not good as we expected so we needed to plan their protestant ceremony indoors instead of wonderful gardens of Palazzo Gemelli. However chosen room was really pretty and the party was a great success. Bride and groom had the chance to have a lovely aperitif at San Rocco hotel, a boat trip and a fun reception at Ustaria Ca dal Rat.
Alessandra and her lovely colleague Veronica planned a wonderful and intimate wedding on Lake Como on 4th September.
Yoshie e Katsuhiro: a romantic Star Wars themed elope at Villa del Balbianello!
As you may know Villa del Balbianello was the set of one of Star Wars movie as we mentioned in one of our older post: Star Wars wedding at Balbianello Villa
Our bride Yoshie is a real Star Wars fan and she wanted as background music the main theme of the movie, little robots as special guests and of course their celebrant was dressed like a Jedi. A real unusual and emotional elope at Villa del Balbianello.

Judy and Greg came from Australia to celebrate their intimate wedding on Lake Orta. A romantic elope for them. An intimate civil ceremony at Villa Bossi a little walk in the roads of Orta and St. Julius Island and a romantic dinner for two at the restaurant on St. Julius Island… a true dream!
For first week of September Lake Orta was a smash hi! Rory and Joy chose Assunta church in Orta village and then a sweet and romantic reception at Villa Pestalozza.
Big day was on September 7th.
It was a wonderful night with Irish songs and wonderful view over the lake.
We will surely come back to speak about this wedding in details… so we keep some suspense for now…
Wonderful shots by Julian Kanz.
In the meanwhile on the same day Valentina was on Lake Maggiore. She coordinated Debbie and Rowan wedding.
They had a lovely civil ceremony in Baveno with a wonderful reception at Grand Hotel Dino… a dreamy event! She is writing a post about this lovely day they we are sure you will love.

On 15th September we come back to Lake Orta for a small but romantic wedding: Cathrine and Tore’s.
They planned a lovely intimate event for just close family and friends with civil ceremony at Villa Bossi, a light lunch at the restaurant on St. Julius Island and then the formal dinner at Hotel San Rocco…. official photos are not ready now but we have two nice shot to show you of this lovely couple!
Valentina was on Lake Maggiore for two weddings.
First one was on September 14th: Johanna and Matt’s.
They chose Villa Rusconi Clerici for their outdoor ceremony in the garden of the villa and reception to follow.
Johanna choose blue and red for her flowers created by La Piccola Selva.
Day after was the turn of Nikki and Adrian. Nikki wanted a gold themed wedding and for the occasion Villa Rusconi Clerici was adorned with all kind of gold detail: lights, flowers, vases, chairs and even tableware. A golden event on Lake Maggiore we will never forget!
On 17th September Valentina got back to Lake Orta for a very special event: Anne and Nick’s wedding. Anne is chinese and side of the civil ceremony at Villa Bossi and reception at Hotel San Rocco they planned traditional events such as bridal games and most of all the families tea ceremonies. Anne wore a wonderful hand made traditional chinese dress for the occasion.
We will come back to tell you more about this special event on Lake Orta.
On 20th September Alessandra planned Inga and Rodion’s wedding at Villa del Balbianello. A wonderful Russian couple for fine, chic but also very fun event! On 21 September La Piccola Selva Team followed another event on Lake Orta: Eilis and Graham’s wedding. It was a very good collaboration with another planning agency but we want to remember here the lovely floral arrangements they did!
Have a look to bridal bouquet and pretty flower girls! Then back again on Lake Como for Mariana and Alvaro’s wedding on 22nd September. Another Brazilian couple at Villa del Balbianello. They planned a vintage themed wedding. We loved the small details Alessandra planned with the couple, vintage consolles, books, ribbons and original decoration. A very original idea… a country chic event at Villa del Balbianello… it was a new experience! We will come back to speak about this event!
We close this post with Paola and Sergio‘s wedding: they chose Villa Pestalozza on Lake Orta for their Big Day.
They opted for the church of San Rocco in the little village of Miasino where the villa is. It is a big Italian church, the biggest on Lake Orta located on top of a hill overlooking the ancient village of Miasino.
La Piccola Selva Team crated lovely country flowers arrangements for both the church and the reception.
A lovely and detailed reception at the villa followed by Do.Ma. Catering – the same Camilla and Lorenzo chose.
A long September but full of joy and happiness for all our couples who chose our lakes for their special events!
